Paula R. McMurtry

 

Paula is a sole practitioner in Port Perry, Ontario who has practised in Durham Region since 2002. Her areas of practice include family law and general civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal
injury matters.

 

Paula is an advocate of Collaborative Family Law and is  Level Two Collaborative Family Law Lawyer. Paula’s family law experience includes resolving issues on marriage breakdown and in negotiating cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts. Paula is also an experienced family law litigator.

 

Paula's civil litigation experience includes actions for slip and falls, breach of contract, property claims, including Road Access matters, wrongful dismissal, sexual assault and disability claims.  Paula has conducted numerous trials and has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

 

Paula is currently serving as a Director for the Durham Region Law Association. She has also served in the past as a Director for the Association for Community Living, Ajax-Pickering-Whitby and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ajax-Pickering.

Amy works closely with clients in all areas of family law and civil litigation.  She is a graduate of Durham College and was formerly a clerk for one of Durham Region's largest law firms.  Amy is a member of The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
